CENARE Advisory Limited is a Renewable Energy and Environment consulting company with
two main units used to effectively serve our clients.
The units are: Renewable Energy (RE) and Consulting and Advisory (C&A)
The Renewable Energy unit is a technical unit specialised in undertaking feasibility studies plus design and installation of renewable energy projects. The RE unit especially focuses on solar technologies for different applications, including Solar Home Systems (SHS), Stand Alone Systems and Minigrid solutions with capability for 100% independence from the grid. The RE unit also undertakes design and implementation of sustainable energy interventions for productive uses and rural development. The interventions include clean cooking solutions, energy in agriculture and food systems and energy efficiency.
The RE unit has four thematic areas:
The Consulting and Advisory unit offers customised services to address our clients’ needs in areas related to Agriculture, Forestry and Land Use, Carbon Markets and Offset projects, Climate Finance, Climate Change Adaptation and Mitigation. The services span from feasibility studies, environmental and social impact assessment, project planning, baseline studies, mid/endline survey, impact assessment, capacity assessment and strengthening, design of advocacy and awareness drive, among others.
CENARE has consulting experience in Kenya and many countries in Africa, from east Africa, west Africa, and southern Africa regions. Through the years, the company has developed important networks and relationships that enable effective delivery of services in different countries and contexts. This includes both Development and Humanitarian context. The company has a large pool of experts that provide specialised expertise and technical backstopping to our clients.CENARE has a robust consulting and advisory model that puts the needs of our customer first. The model puts emphasis on close cooperation with the client to understand the subject, design a working strategy and regularly consult and give updates on the progress. CENARE has the technical capacity and resources to undertake activities in the African region and if desirable, can support the implementation of consultancy findings and recommendations.
