CENARE supports in the design of suitable solutions for the different contexts and activities to improve the food security situation
Energy is a key enabler of efficiency in the Food Systems. Energy is required to increase agricultural productivity and reduce reliance on rainfed agriculture, especially through solar powered irrigation. Energy is also needed to run the equipment that processes food, power equipment that preserves food through cooling or drying, and power produce aggregation and transportation facilities. CENARE supports in the design of suitable solutions for the different contexts and activities to improve the food security situation. We also support in the design, development, and delivery of other productive uses of energy that create livelihood opportunities for the community. We work closely with partners who provide these custom solutions at favourable terms.
